Yet Another Very Unsettled Weekend Is Expected Across Western & Central Mass

For Tonight: An area of high pressure will move to the east while an area of low pressure takes shape off of the Mid-Atlantic Coast. Skies tonight will be cloudy and any rain with that low pressure system to the south will hold off from moving in until during the day on Saturday. Low temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be East to Southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Saturday & Saturday Night: That low pressure system will slowly move northeastward towards our area during the day on Saturday and then across the area during Saturday night. Periods of rain will overspread the region during Saturday morning with most areas seeing rain throughout Saturday afternoon. Rain is then expected to continue through all of Saturday night. Rainfall totals with the rain during Saturday and Saturday night will average around one half of an inch (0.50”). High temperatures Saturday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Low temperatures Saturday night will be near 45 Degrees. Winds on Saturday will be East at 10 to 20 mph. Winds on Saturday night will be East at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Sunday Through Monday: A brief break in the steady rainfall is expected for a few hours on Sunday. That said, there’s likely to still be enough low-level moisture around for some drizzle and even some scattered showers during the day on Sunday. A round of heavy rainfall is expected to overspread the entire area during the early evening hours of Sunday. This heavy rainfall is then likely to continue through much of the night on Sunday night before it comes to an end early Monday morning. Rainfall totals Sunday night are expected to average between 1 and 2 inches across the entire area. High temperatures Sunday will be near 60 Degrees. Low temperatures Sunday night will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds on Sunday will be East at 10 to 20 mph. Winds on Sunday night will be East to Southeast at 15 to 25 mph. Monday looks like it’ll be a generally cloudy day, but there could be some peeks of sunshine from time to time. High temperatures Monday will be near 65 Degrees. Tuesday through Thursday: An upper level low pressure system is expected to control the weather throughout Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This means that the weather on all three days will be pretty much the same. Tuesday looks generally cloudy with some scattered afternoon showers and possible thunderstorms. High temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Wednesday looks generally cloudy with scattered afternoon showers and possible thunderstorms. High temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees.
