Storm System Passes Well To The East Leading To Another Dry Week Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: A mixture of sunshine and clouds is expected for this afternoon. In addition, there may be a very stray shower or two mainly over the Worcester Hills. A majority of the area, however, will be dry this afternoon. Temperatures will be between 80 and 85 Degrees. Winds will be East at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight & Tuesday: An area of low pressure is expected to develop well south and east of New England later tonight and during Tuesday. Unfortunately, it appears that the track of this storm may be too far east to bring us any sort of beneficial rainfall during the middle part of this week. Tonight will be partly cloudy with low temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be East at 5 to 10 mph. A partly sunny day is expected on Tuesday as a majority of the moisture from that storm system remains to the east. High temperatures will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Winds will be Northeast at 10 to 20 mph. Tuesday Night & Wednesday: An area of low pressure is expected to head northward into the Gulf of Maine and towards Atlantic Canada during Tuesday night and Wednesday. This track looks too far east to bring the area any beneficial rainfall for Tuesday night and Wednesday and thus our drought conditions continues. Tuesday night is expected to be cloudy and there may be some scattered showers after midnight, especially across Central Mass. Low temperatures will be near 60 Degrees. Winds will be Northeast at 10 to 20 mph. Wednesday looks like it’ll feature more clouds than sunshine and there may be some scattered showers around during the morning, especially across Central Mass. High temperatures will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Winds will be North at 10 to 20 mph. Thursday & Friday: An area of low pressure moves into Maine during Thursday. This means that skies will be partly sunny with high temperatures near 80 Degrees. Friday is expected to be sunny to partly sunny as a Bermuda high pressure system begins to flex back to the west. High temperatures will be near 85 Degrees. This Weekend: Very warm weather moves back into the region for the weekend as a southwesterly wind flow sets up across the region. Saturday will be sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures between 85 and 90 Degrees. Sunday looks partly sunny and there may be some isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms. High temperatures will be near 85 Degrees.
