For The Rest Of This Afternoon: A windy and cold rest of the afternoon is expected under sunny skies.
Temperatures will be between 25 and 30 Degrees. Winds will be West at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
Tonight: Clear skies with diminishing winds can be expected tonight. Low temperatures will be near 20 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph before midnight and West at 10 to 15 mph after midnight.
Saturday: Skies are expected to become cloudy during the morning and remain cloudy during the afternoon. In addition, it now appears that some scattered snow showers could occur during the late morning into afternoon hours as a weather disturbance pushes across the area. Any snow accumulations with the snow showers that do occur should amount to a dusting, at most.
High temperatures will be near 35 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph.
Saturday Night & Sunday: The weather forecast for late Saturday night into Sunday morning continues to be quite uncertain as a low pressure system is expected to track just to the south of New England. At the same time this is occurring, drier air will be working in from the northwest causing a sharp cutoff as to where it snows and where it doesn’t snow across the region. The question is where will this cutoff occur across the region.
My thinking as of right now is that areas across northern Worcester County into the upper Pioneer Valley will see little or no snow while areas closer to the Springfield and Worcester Metros may end up near one inch of fluffy snow accumulation. Areas south of the Mass Pike may end up with 1 to 2 inches of fluffy snow accumulation. You can see my thinking with the forecast snow amount map attached.
Light snow looks to break out across the region around midnight on Saturday night and then continue through the after midnight hours of Saturday night. Light snow is then expected to continue through sunrise Sunday morning before it comes to an end from northwest to southeast by mid to late morning Sunday. The exception to this will be across areas near and north of Route 2 where things may actually stay snow-free.
I did want to mention that should that low pressure system track even further offshore, it would lead to little or no snow across much of the area, except for south of the Mass Pike where perhaps a dusting of snow could occur. On the other hand, should this low pressure system track further north, it would lead to a couple of inches of snow to occur across areas north of the Mass Pike & 3 to 4 inches of snow accumulation to occur near and south of the Mass Pike. These other scenarios will be watched closely & the forecast may need to be adjusted accordingly.
Low temperatures Saturday night will be between 20 and 25 Degrees. High temperatures Sunday will be between 25 and 30 Degrees. Winds on Saturday night will be West at 10 to 15 mph. Winds on Sunday will be West to Northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

Sunday Night & Monday: Another shot of Arctic air will invade the region during Sunday night and Monday.
Sunday night looks clear, cold and windy with low temperatures between 5 and 10 Degrees.
A sunny, cold and windy day is expected on Monday with high temperatures between 25 and 30 Degrees.
Monday Night & Tuesday: It will still be cold on Monday night and Tuesday, however, it will be less windy.
Monday night looks partly cloudy with low temperatures between 10 and 15 Degrees.
Tuesday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 30 and 35 Degrees.
Wednesday Through Next Friday: A change towards more average temperatures for this time of year is looking fairly likely for the second half of next week. In fact, it’ll probably feel downright mild as compared to the temperatures that we’ve had over the last couple of weeks or so.
Wednesday looks partly sunny with high temperatures around 40 Degrees.
Thursday looks cloudy and there may be some late day showers around. High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees.
Next Friday looks partly sunny with high temperatures near 45 Degrees.
