Rain Is Expected Sunday Afternoon & Sunday Night; Next Week Looks Cool & Fairly Unsettled Across Western & Central Mass

For Tonight: An area of high pressure is expected to provide the area clear skies and cool temperatures.

Low temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be North at around 10 mph.

Saturday & Saturday Night: That high pressure system is expected to continue to control our weather throughout Saturday and into Saturday night.

An absolutely beautiful day is expected on Saturday with lots of sunshine & very low humidity values expected. High temperatures will be near 65 Degrees. Winds will be North at around 10 mph in the morning and Southeast at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected during Saturday evening with skies becoming cloudy during the after midnight hours. Low temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be South at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday & Sunday Night: An area of low pressure is expected to move across Southern New England during Sunday afternoon and Sunday night. It appears that this low pressure system will bring with it a round of rain to the entire area throughout Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.

Cloudy skies are expected throughout the day on Sunday. I think that we will see rain begin across the entire area around midday Sunday. The rain is then expected to continue across the entire area throughout all of Sunday afternoon and probably all of Sunday night. Some periods of heavy rain is a possibility during Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening.

All-in-all, it appears that around one inch or so of total rainfall can be expected during Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.

High temperatures Sunday will be around 60 Degrees. Winds will be Southeast at 7 to 15 mph.

Low temperatures Sunday night will be around 45 Degrees. Winds will be North at 10 to 15 mph.

Next Week’s Weather Outlook: Next week looks to be quite unsettled at times as we are going to be dealing with the combination of an onshore wind flow & a very slow northward moving coastal storm that could really affect our area during the second half of next week. Additionally, that persistent onshore wind is likely to keep temperatures quite cool throughout next week.

Monday looks cloudy & there may be some lingering showers around, especially across areas near and south of the Mass Pike. High temperatures will be between 60 and 65 Degrees.

Tuesday is expected to be cloudy. In addition, there may be some shower activity around at times, especially across areas near and south of the Mass Pike. High temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees.

Wednesday looks cloudy and there may be some shower activity around at times. High temperatures will be between 60 and 65 Degrees.

A more steady rain looks possible throughout Thursday and next Friday as that slow moving coastal storm potentially moves into our area. How heavy the rain will be is uncertain right now, but this possible coastal storm will really need to be watched as it could bring a wind-swept soaking rain to the entire area during Thursday through next Friday. There is plenty of time to keep an eye on the progress of this possible storm & I’ll definitely keep you updated. High temperatures on Thursday will be around 60 Degrees. High temperatures next Friday will be near 65 Degrees.
