On & Off Showers Are Expected Sunday Morning Across Western & Central Mass

For Tonight: Skies will start out partly cloudy this evening before becoming cloudy after midnight as a frontal system approaches the area from the eastern Great Lakes region.

Some showers are expected to overspread northwestern and western Mass around dawn Sunday morning.

Low temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday: That frontal system is expected to push its way through the region during the morning before moving offshore during the afternoon.

On and off showers are expected throughout Sunday morning with the greatest coverage of showers expected north of the Mass Pike. These showers are expected to end during the early afternoon hours with things drying out during the late afternoon hours.

At this point, it appears that rainfall totals Sunday morning will range from less than one quarter of an inch (0.25”) near and south of the Mass Pike to between one quarter of an inch (0.25”) and one third of an inch (0.33”) across areas north of the Mass Pike. Definitely not enough to wash away all of the pollen that’s around.

High temperatures will be near 70 Degrees. Winds will be West at 5 to 10 mph.

Monday & Tuesday: A mixture of sunshine and clouds can be expected during Monday with high temperatures near 70 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 20 mph.

Partly sunny skies are expected on Tuesday. There’s the very slight possibility for an isolated late afternoon shower or thunderstorm as an upper level low pressure system crosses the area. A majority of the area will likely stay dry on Tuesday. High temperatures Tuesday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees.

Wednesday: A high pressure system will gradually build into the area for Wednesday.

Skies on Wednesday will be partly sunny with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees.

Thursday & Friday: Temperatures look to warm up for late next week. This looks to combine with some humid conditions for both Thursday and Friday.

Thursday looks partly sunny, warm and humid with high temperatures between 80 and 85 Degrees.

Friday looks partly sunny to start with, but clouds look to be on the increase during the afternoon as a cold front sweeps through the area. This cold front looks to bring with it showers and thunderstorms during the late afternoon and evening hours of Friday. High temperatures will be near 80 Degrees with humid conditions.
