For Tonight: An area of high pressure positioned over the region will lead to light winds and clear to partly cloudy skies. This should lead to temperatures to bottom out at between 37 and 41 Degrees. Saturday & Saturday Night: An area of low pressure is expected to develop near the Virginia and North Carolina coast late Saturday and then head east-northeastward well south of New England on Saturday night. The track of this low pressure system is such that any rain with this storm will remain to our south and it looks very likely we’ll stay dry this weekend. Skies Saturday morning will start out sunny to partly sunny with cloudy skies expected during the afternoon. High temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 5 to 10 mph. Cloudy skies are expected on Saturday night with low temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 5 to 10 mph. Sunday: That low pressure system will head out into the open Atlantic during Sunday. Cloudy skies Sunday morning will give way to increasing sunshine during the afternoon. High temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be North at 8 to 16 mph. Next Week’s Weather Forecast: The first half of next week looks cloudy and somewhat unsettled as a northeasterly wind flow is in place across the region. Monday looks cloudy with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees. Tuesday looks cloudy and there may be a few passing showers around. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Some partial sunshine may return during Wednesday. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Better weather looks to return for later next week as high pressure builds into the area. Thursday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 60 Degrees. Next Friday looks partly sunny with high temperatures near 65 Degrees.

For Tonight: Cloudy skies this evening will give way to partly cloudy skies late tonight. Low temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be West at 5 to 10 mph. Thursday: Sunny to partly sunny skies in the morning should give way to a mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds during the afternoon. High temperatures will be near 65 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 20 mph. Friday: A northwest wind flow will lead to a slightly cooler day on Friday under sunny to partly sunny skies. High temperatures will be between 60 and 65 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 10 to 20 mph. This Weekend: There’s hope that we could end up with dry weather this weekend across the entire area. While there is still likely to be the formation of a coastal storm near the Mid-Atlantic coast on Saturday and Saturday night, it is looking increasingly more possible that this storm will track nearly due east and remain far enough south not to be a concern in terms of rain. That said, this is not set in stone and this storm could still track just close enough to the area to give parts of the area some rain on Saturday night and Sunday. For now, it looks like Saturday should be cloudy with any rain holding off until evening. High temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. For Saturday night, I think that we’ll see periods of light rain across the entire area. Low temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Sunday looks cloudy with some periods of light rain from time to time. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Given the more southerly track of that coastal storm, it appears that rain totals may range from as little as one tenth of an inch (0.10”) to one quarter of an inch (0.25”) along the Route 2 corridor to around one half of an inch (0.50”) of rainfall across areas near and especially south of the Mass Pike. Now if that coastal storm’s track continues to trend further south, it would mean less rain and the potential for a dry weekend across most areas. On the other hand though, should this coastal storm’s track trend back to the north, it would mean much more rain across the area. For me, I’m definitely hoping for an out to sea track and no rain at all this weekend.

For Tonight: A weak weather disturbance is expected to approach the region later tonight. This means that skies will be partly cloudy throughout tonight and there may be an isolated shower or two very late tonight. Low temperatures will be near 40 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday: That weak weather disturbance will move away from the area during Tuesday morning. During the afternoon, the combination of solar heating and colder air aloft will lead to an unstable air mass across the region. This all means that any leftover isolated showers will end early in the day with partly sunny skies expected during the rest of the morning. During Tuesday afternoon, a mixture of some sunshine and lots of cumulus clouds can be expected. In addition, a very isolated shower or two is possible during the late afternoon hours. High temperatures will be near 60 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Wednesday Through Friday: We should generally remain in a west to northwest upper level wind flow right through the end of this week. Wednesday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 65 Degrees. Thursday will feature a mixture of some sun and lots of clouds. High temperatures will be near 60 Degrees. Friday looks partly sunny with high temperatures near 60 Degrees. Weekend Weather Forecast Looks WET!!: Unfortunately it looks like another weekend washout looks likely as an area of low pressure tracks near or right over Southern New England. In addition to this, it’s possible that this could be a wind-swept rain as that low pressure system strengthens as it moves through. Current indications point towards rain moving in during Saturday morning with the rain continuing through all of Saturday afternoon, all of Saturday night and possibly all day Sunday. In addition to the rain, it appears that East to Northeast winds of 10 to 20 mph on Saturday will increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph by late Saturday night. These easterly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph are expected to continue through all day Sunday. At this point, it appears that widespread rain totals of 1 to 2 inches are possible across the entire area. Temperatures this weekend will only be in the low to mid 50s. This combined with the rain and wind will lead to a cold, raw and wet weekend. Thank You: As always, I thank you for your continued support.
