Thunderstorms with gusty winds, frequent lightning and torrential downpours are now making their way through Grafton, Northbridge and Uxbridge at the time of this post.

It is expected that these storms will affect Upton, Milford, Mendon and Blackstone over the next 15-30 minutes. These storms will then push out of Central Mass and probably head towards parts of Southeast Mass by between 12:30 and 1 am. Once that occurs, we will be done with thunderstorms for the rest of the night.

A severe thunderstorm is now making its way through Brookfield, Sturbridge and Southbridge at the time of this post. I can report very frequent lightning, torrential downpours and likely 40-50 mph wind gusts (estimated) here in Sturbridge.

These thunderstorms will be making their way through Charlton, Dudley, Auburn, Oxford and Webster over the next 15-30 minutes. These thunderstorms will then impact areas including Millbury, Sutton, Douglas and Uxbridge by midnight. Expect wind gusts of up to 50 mph, very frequent lightning and torrential downpours when they move through.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are now moving through the lower Pioneer Valley of Western Mass. Latest reports show a 51 mph wind gust being recorded in Westfield and a 40 mph wind gust being recorded in Chicopee. In addition to the 50-plus mph wind gusts this thunderstorm is producing, it is also producing very frequent lightning & torrential downpours.

These thunderstorms are expected to reach Belchertown, Ware, Palmer, Monson and Brimfield over the next 15 minutes or so. From there, these strong to severe thunderstorms will reach the Brookfields, Sturbridge, Southbridge, Holland and Charlton by 11:30 pm.

Areas from Worcester southward through Auburn, Oxford and Webster look to be impacted by these thunderstorms by about 11:45 pm or so. The Route 146 corridor then looks to be impacted by these strong to severe thunderstorms between 11:45 pm and midnight.

Again, these storms have had a history of producing wind damage & confirmed 50-60 mph wind gusts when they move through. Additionally, these thunderstorms will produce very frequent lightning and torrential downpours when they move through.

Once the thunderstorm reaches your location, expect it to last for about 30 minutes or so.
