Widespread Showers Expected This Evening Across Western & Central Mass

I wanted to start this update by saying THANK YOU to everyone that helped us out with donations & comments of support. The amount of support shown was overwhelming & you have no idea how much this was appreciated. So again, THANK YOU!!!


For This Afternoon & Tonight: Skies will become cloudy during this afternoon as a frontal system pushes its way into northern New England. In addition, some scattered rain showers can be expected during late this afternoon. Temperatures will be around 50 Degrees. Winds will be South to Southwest at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.


That frontal system will push into southern New England during tonight. This means that there will be widespread rain showers around throughout this evening. These showers will become much more isolated in coverage during the after midnight hours of tonight. Low temperatures will be near 35 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph before midnight and West to Northwest at 10 to 15 mph after midnight.


Rainfall totals from late this afternoon through this evening look to average around one quarter of an inch (0.25”).


Saturday & Saturday Night: A mixture of sunshine and clouds can be expected throughout the day on Saturday. High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.


Cloudy skies are expected on Saturday night. In addition, some scattered snow showers are possible towards sunrise Sunday morning as another frontal system approaches the area. Low temperatures will be near 30 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph before midnight and South at 5 to 10 mph after midnight.


Sunday: That frontal system will slowly make its way eastward towards our area during Sunday.


Scattered snow showers can be expected during Sunday morning with rain expected during Sunday afternoon. High temperatures will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be South at 10 to 15 mph.


Sunday Night: That frontal system will push through the area during Sunday night.


Rain can be expected throughout Sunday evening. This rain may mix with & even change to some wet snow from the after midnight hours of Sunday night through sunrise Monday morning. Any snow accumulation by Monday morning looks to be very light & on the order of a slushy dusting. Low temperatures will be between 30 and 35 Degrees.


Monday: Some morning leftover areas of light snow can be expected as that frontal system pushes offshore. Any snow accumulation during Monday morning will be very light & on the order of a slushy dusting.


Skies are then expected to remain cloudy during Monday afternoon.


High temperatures will be near 40 Degrees.


Tuesday Through Next Friday: Drier air will work its way into the area for Tuesday and Wednesday.


Tuesday looks sunny with high temperatures near 45 Degrees.


Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures near 50 Degrees.


A frontal system is expected to push its way through the area during Thursday. This means that cloudy skies are expected on Thursday & there will be some scattered rain showers around. High temperatures will be near 50 Degrees.


A stronger frontal system may make its way through the area during next Friday bringing with it the possibility of widespread rain showers. High temperatures will be near 45 Degrees.
