Widespread Showers Are Expected From Well After Midnight Tonight Through Thursday Morning Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: Sunshine early this afternoon will give way to increasing clouds during the mid and late afternoon hours.

Temperatures will be around 60 Degrees. Winds will be East to Southeast at around 10 mph.

Tonight & Thursday: An area of low pressure and its associated frontal system is expected to push through the area during late tonight and Thursday morning.

Cloudy skies are expected throughout tonight. In addition, widespread showers will affect the entire area starting during the predawn hours of Thursday morning. Low temperatures tonight will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be East to Southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

Widespread showers are expected to continue across the entire area throughout Thursday morning. The shower activity will become much more isolated during Thursday afternoon as that frontal system begins to push to the east. High temperatures Thursday will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and Northwest at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Total rainfall amounts from late tonight through Thursday will average between one quarter of an inch (0.25”) to one half of an inch (0.50”).

Friday: A generally cloudy day looks likely for Friday. High temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

This Weekend: The weekend weather forecast is going to hinge on the track of a low pressure system that’ll track off of the Mid-Atlantic coast. At this point, I do think that the low pressure system should probably stay too far south and east to really affect our weather with rain.
