Weekend Weather Update For Western & Central Mass (Posted Midday Saturday 4/25/2026)

Weather analysis as of midday revealed a northwest to southeast oriented area of rain that stretches from western New York State to southeastern New York State and parts of southwestern Connecticut.
This area of rain is expected to slowly push eastward and will reach far western Mass by early this evening. Once this area of rain reaches far western Mass, it'll be stopped by a large high pressure system that's located over New England. Because of this, I don't think this rain will make it much further east than perhaps the Springfield Metro during tonight.
- FOR THIS AFTERNOON: Sunshine mixed with clouds early this afternoon will give way to cloudy skies by later this afternoon. Temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Winds will be South at 5 to 10 mph.
- TONIGHT: Cloudy skies are expected across all of Western and Central Mass.
Some light rain will affect the Berkshires and the lower Pioneer Valley of Western Mass for a few hours centered around midnight. Meanwhile, the central and upper Pioneer Valley will likely see no rain at all.
Further east across Central Mass, I think we probably will not see any rain across much of Central Mass during tonight. The exception might be across far southwestern parts of Worcester County, centered around I-84 around midnight tonight when there may be a little bit of light rain.
Low temperatures will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph before midnight and West to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph after midnight.
- SUNDAY: An area of low pressure will track to the south of New England during the day on Sunday.
This will lead to a cloudy day across all of Western and Central Mass with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be East at 5 to 10 mph.
- MONDAY: The sun looks to return on Monday with high temperatures between 60 and 65 Degrees. Winds will be East to Northeast at 7 to 15 mph.
