For Today: What a chilly start to the day with a majority of Western and Central Mass dropping into the upper 30s to low 40s. Some isolated areas even dropped into the mid 30s early this morning. The day today is expected to feature plenty of sunshine mixed with a few afternoon puffy cumulus clouds across the entire area with high temperatures of near 65 Degrees. Tonight: An area of high pressure will give Western and Central Mass clear skies and light winds tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be near 45 Degrees. Saturday: Saturday looks like a nice day across the entire area with the most sunshine occurring near and south of the Mass Pike and more of a partly sunny day north of the Mass Pike. North of Route 2, a mixture of some sun and lots of clouds can be expected by Saturday afternoon as a cold front lingers north of the Massachusetts state line. High temperatures Saturday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Sunday: A slow moving cold front is expected to push across the Ohio Valley during Sunday. The day on Sunday looks to start out with some sunshine, however, clouds will be on the increase during the afternoon. In addition, there may also be a stray shower or two across Western Mass towards Sunday evening. High temperatures Sunday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Monday Through Tuesday: That frontal system is expected to very slowly push across the northeastern United States from later Monday into early Tuesday. This front has the potential to pack quite a bit of moisture with it and thus there could be a heavy rain threat from Monday afternoon to Tuesday morning. This all means that rain is expected to overspread all of Western and Central Mass by Monday afternoon. Rain, which may be heavy at times is then expected throughout Monday afternoon, Monday night and Tuesday morning. The rain is then expected to gradually come to an end during Tuesday afternoon. High temperatures Monday will be near 65 Degrees. Low temperatures Monday night will be near 55 Degrees. High temperatures Tuesday will be near 65 Degrees. Wednesday Through Next Friday: High pressure is expected to build across the area by late next week and should return us to some decent early fall weather. Wednesday looks like a generally cloudy day with high temperatures near 65 Degrees. Thursday and next Friday both look partly sunny with high temperatures both days near 70 Degrees.
