Snow Showers Are Expected From Late Tonight Through Tuesday Morning Across Western & Central Mass (Issued Late Monday Morning 4/6/2026)

For This Afternoon: A mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds are expected throughout this afternoon. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s. Winds will be West at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 to 35 mph.


Tonight & Tuesday: A weather disturbance is expected to move through the area during Tuesday morning.


Partly cloudy skies are expected throughout this evening before skies become cloudy during the after midnight hours of tonight.


Snow showers are expected to begin to affect the entire area during the predawn hours of Tuesday morning. Snow showers are then expected to continue to affect the entire area throughout Tuesday morning. Any snow accumulation from the snow showers may amount to anywhere from a dusting to perhaps up to one inch of snow accumulation during Tuesday morning.


Turning to Tuesday afternoon, it appears that a secondary weather disturbance will pass through the area. This will lead to the possibility of some scattered rain and snow showers to affect the area throughout Tuesday afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation is expected during Tuesday afternoon as temperatures will be well above freezing by then.


Low temperatures tonight will be near 30 Degrees. Winds tonight will be West to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph.


High temperatures on Tuesday will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds on Tuesday will be East to Southeast at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and West to Northwest at 8 to 16 mph in the afternoon.


Wednesday Through Friday: An area of high pressure is expected to control the weather during the second half of this coming week.


Wednesday is expected to be sunny with high temperatures near 45 Degrees. Winds will be South at 5 to 10 mph.


Thursday is expected to be sunny with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees.


Friday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures near 65 Degrees.


This Weekend: That high pressure is expected to continue to control the weather through this weekend.


Saturday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 60 and 65 Degrees.


Sunday is expected to be sunny with high temperatures near 60 Degrees.
