It appears likely that there will be some scattered showers and thunderstorms across the entire area during late this afternoon and this evening as a cold front moves through.
A cold front now that now stretches from western New Hampshire and Vermont southwestward into eastern New York State is expected to push through Southern New England during later this afternoon and this evening.
Generally a mixture of sunshine and clouds can be expected throughout this afternoon. Temperatures will likely reach about 70 Degrees during this afternoon.
Some scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to begin affecting Western and Central Mass later this afternoon starting around 4-5 pm or so.
These scattered showers and thunderstorms are then expected to continue affecting our area during this evening before they come to an end about midnight or so.
I'm not expecting that any of the thunderstorms late this afternoon and this evening will be strong or severe. That said, any thunderstorms will have the capability of producing locally heavy downpours.
MONDAY & TUESDAY both look decent in terms of weather. Partly sunny skies are expected on Monday & sunny to partly sunny skies are expected on Tuesday. High temperatures Monday will be near 65 Degrees. High temperatures Tuesday will be between 60 and 65 Degrees.
The next chance for any other appreciable rainfall looks to occur on Wednesday night and Thursday as a frontal system pushes through the region. So, I'm expecting some widespread showers to occur from late Wednesday night through the day on Thursday. Right now, it appears that rainfall totals of around one half of an inch are possible late Wednesday night through Thursday.
