Rainy Weather Can Be Expected For Thursday & Thursday Night Across Western & Central Mass

For The Rest Of This Afternoon: A weak cold front is expected to push southward into our area during the later parts of this afternoon. The forcing of this front combined with the warm and more humid air mass will probably set off some scattered showers and thunderstorms across the entire area, especially during the late afternoon hours. Locally heavy downpours look to be the main threat with any thunderstorms that do occur.

Temperatures will be around 75 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 18 mph.

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to persist into this evening as that cold front continues to move through the area. It is expected that the frontal boundary will then stall near the south coast of New England by late tonight. While most of the showers and storms should be done by midnight, it’s possible that perhaps a couple of leftover showers could occur during the after midnight hours of tonight.

Low temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be North to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday: That frontal system is expected to stall to the south of New England during Wednesday as a high pressure system tries to build southward into northern New England.

It looks as if a northeasterly wind flow will set up across the region on Wednesday leading to a day of low clouds and areas of drizzle. Additionally, some scattered showers can be expected from time to time.

High temperatures will be between 63 and 68 Degrees. Winds will be East to Northeast at 6 to 12 mph.

Thursday & Friday: The weather looks to turn more rainy for Thursday and Thursday night with some of this rain possibly lasting into Friday. It is expected that a low pressure system will track across central and northern New England on Thursday, which in turn, will drag a frontal system across our area.

Thursday will be cloudy and it looks to rain throughout much of the day. High temperatures will be near 65 Degrees. Winds will be Southeast at 10 to 20 mph.

Rain is expected to continue throughout Thursday night before it tapers off to some leftover scattered showers Friday morning. Low temperatures will be near 60 Degrees.

Total rainfall amounts Thursday and Thursday night look to average around one inch or so across the region.

Friday looks cloudy and there will probably be some leftover scattered showers in the morning. High temperatures will be between 70 and 75 Degrees.

This Weekend: While this weekend looks pretty good in terms of weather, there is the possibility that there could be some isolated showers Saturday afternoon.

Saturday looks partly sunny and there may be some very isolated showers during the afternoon. High temperatures will be between 75 and 80 Degrees.

Sunday looks sunny with high temperatures near 75 Degrees.
