For The Rest Of This Afternoon & Tonight: A cold front will gradually push its way across the area during the rest of this afternoon and tonight.
Rain can be expected throughout the rest of this afternoon across the entire area. Temperatures during the rest of this afternoon will be in the low to middle 40s. Winds will be South to Southwest at 10 to 15 mph.
Rain will continue throughout a large part of tonight. The rain is then expected to change to some wet snow during the early morning hours of Monday as colder air seeps into the area on the backside of that front. I’m thinking that the change from rain to wet snow will occur between about 4 am and 6 am Monday morning. Snow accumulations during early Monday morning will amount to a slushy dusting on mainly grassy and non-pavement surfaces. Low temperatures tonight will be in the lower 30s. Winds will be North at around 10 mph.
Monday: Some leftover wet snow is expected to continue for a while during Monday morning. This snow looks to come to an end around mid-morning Monday. Again, snow accumulations look to be limited to a slushy dusting on grassy and non-pavement surfaces. Roads and other paved surfaces will likely stay mainly wet.
During Monday afternoon, skies will be cloudy throughout the afternoon. In addition, some scattered snow showers could occur during the late afternoon and evening hours as a trough of low pressure moves through the region. Most of this snow shower activity will probably occur over Central Mass. Any snow accumulation during late Monday afternoon and Monday evening will be limited to a dusting of snow.
High temperatures Monday will be near 40 Degrees. Winds will be North at 7 to 15 mph.
Tuesday & Wednesday: An area of high pressure is expected to build into the region during Tuesday. This means that lots of sunshine can be expected throughout the day on Tuesday. High temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be North to Northwest at 10 to 15 mph in the morning and Southwest at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
That high pressure system will remain in control of the weather during Wednesday. Partly sunny skies are expected throughout the day on Wednesday. High temperatures will be near 50 Degrees.
Thursday & Friday: Thursday looks generally cloudy with high temperatures between 50 and 55 Degrees.
A cold front is expected to push through the area during Thursday night bringing with it rain showers throughout the night on Thursday night. Low temperatures will be near 40 Degrees.
A partly sunny day is expected on Friday with high temperatures near 50 Degrees.
