Rain/Snow Showers & Thunderstorms With Small Hail Sat Afternoon & Evening With Stupid Cold Monday

This Afternoon: A mixture of sunshine and clouds is expected this afternoon. Some scattered showers are expected late this afternoon as a piece of atmospheric energy pushes through the area. Temperatures this afternoon will be near 55 Degrees. Winds this afternoon will be west at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight: Any leftover showers will end early this evening with skies expected to be partly cloudy during the overnight hours of tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds tonight will be west at 5 to 10 mph. Saturday: It looks like Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening could be fairly active in terms of weather as a cold front pushes through the area. Saturday morning looks like it’ll feature sunshine with building cumulus clouds. Fairly widespread rain showers will first overspread Western Mass by about 2-3 pm Saturday afternoon with the widespread rain shower activity pushing into Central Mass by about 3-4 pm or so Saturday afternoon. Widespread rain showers with isolated thunderstorms are then expected during late Saturday afternoon. Given the amount of unstable air that’ll be present later Saturday afternoon, some of the thunderstorms may produce small hail. Turning to Saturday evening, colder air will push into the air and will be accompanied by a continued unstable air mass. What this means is that I think that we’ll see rain showers rapidly change to widespread snow showers by about 5-6 pm across the Berkshires and across the Hilltowns of Western Mass and also across the Worcester Hills by about 8-9 pm. In addition to this, a couple of snow squalls are possible during Saturday evening with reduced visibility and poor travel conditions in the Berkshires and the Worcester Hills. Elsewhere across the region, widespread rain showers that may mix with snow at times are expected throughout Saturday evening across the Pioneer Valley and the Blackstone Valley. A thunderstorm or two is also possible. All shower activity should come to an end around midnight with skies remaining cloudy after midnight Saturday night. High temperatures Saturday will be near 50 Degrees. Low temperatures Saturday night will be near 35 Degrees. Winds on Saturday will be southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Winds on Saturday night will be west at 5 to 10 mph. Sunday: A partly sunny day is expected on Sunday with high temperatures between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds on Sunday will be west at 10 to 20 mph. Monday: A surge of Arctic air is expected to push into the area for Monday leading to unusually cold weather for Monday. Skies on Monday will be partly sunny with cold and windy conditions expected. High temperatures Monday will be between 30 and 35 Degrees. Winds on Monday will be west to northwest at 15 to 25 mph with wind chill temperatures of between 5 and 15 Degrees all day long. Bottom line is that Monday will be a stupid cold day. Tuesday Through Thursday: Tuesday also looks cold for this time of year under partly sunny skies. High temperatures Tuesday will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Wednesday looks like it’ll be milder under partly sunny skies. High temperatures Wednesday will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Thursday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees.

Stupid cold! Absolutely! At least we’re inevitably on the road towards warmer weather.😅

We still have to get past April 1st. Mother Nature has been known to pull pranks on us the last couple years.
