Rain Gradually Comes To An End This Afternoon With An Extended Period Of Dry & Very Fall-Like Conditions Throughout This Upcoming Week Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: The weather is much quieter today after the wild severe weather that occurred yesterday afternoon across the region.

The rain has pretty much ended across Western Mass, however, it continues to rain at the time of this writing across Central Mass.

I expect skies to start out cloudy across Western Mass with perhaps a few stray showers possible. Skies should become partly sunny by late this afternoon across Western Mass.

For Central Mass, it appears that the rain will end from west to east during the first half of this afternoon & it should be done raining most everywhere by 3-4 pm this afternoon. The exception may be across southeastern parts of Worcester County where the rain may not end until about 5-6 pm.

Temperatures will be around 60 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

All-in-all, a cool and damp afternoon is expected across most areas of Western and Central Mass, even after the rain ends at your location.

Tonight: An area of high pressure will begin to build into the area during tonight.

Skies will be partly cloudy this evening with clear skies expected during the after midnight hours. Low temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Monday: It looks like a quiet week of weather can be expected across the region as a high pressure system controls the weather.

Monday looks sunny with high temperatures near 70 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 7 to 14 mph.

Monday night is expected to be clear with low temperatures between 45 and 50 Degrees. Some of the normally colder spots are likely to drop to near 40 Degrees on Monday night. Winds will be North to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday Through Friday: As I already mentioned, high pressure is expected to control the weather throughout all of this upcoming week. The only fly in the ointment is going to be a wave of low pressure riding along an offshore frontal boundary that’ll be moving to the east of the Cape on Wednesday. Current indications seem to point to that this low pressure system will stay far enough offshore on Wednesday to not be a factor in our weather. That said, I’ll be keeping an eye on it, just in case.

Tuesday looks sunny with high temperatures near 70 Degrees. Winds will be East at 5 to 10 mph.

Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures near 70 Degrees.

Thursday looks sunny with high temperatures near 75 Degrees.

Friday looks sunny with high temperatures between 70 and 75 Degrees.
