1 min read

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms stretch from Athol and Winchendon southward through Ware, Palmer and the Springfield Metro. These thunderstorms have had a history of producing wind damage & nearly continuous lightning.

This line of strong to severe thunderstorms will cross all of Worcester County over the next hour. Western and northern parts of Worcester County will be impacted first over the next 15-30 minutes or so. These storms will reach the Worcester Metro by between 12:30 am and 1 am. Eastern and southeastern parts of Worcester County will likely be impacted by these storms shortly after 1 am.

These thunderstorms will be capable of producing 35 to 55 mph wind gusts, nearly continuous lightning and torrential downpours.

It is expected that the thunderstorms will last for about an hour at any one location. This means that these storms probably wont be completely out of Central Mass until about 2-2:30 am.
