Maybe Some Showers Late Tonight Into Monday Morning Across Parts Of Western & Central Mass

For The Rest Of This Afternoon: Sunshine will gradually be filtered through some high clouds this afternoon. That said, it’ll be a very nice afternoon with tolerable humidity levels (dew point temperatures will remain around 60 Degrees). Temperatures will be near 85 Degrees. Winds will be West at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight & Monday: A weak area of low pressure is expected to pass near the south coast of New England during Monday. Out ahead of this low pressure system, showers are expected to push east-northeastward towards our area. There is uncertainty, however, as to how far north these showers will make it into Western and Central Mass late tonight and Monday morning. Some of the higher resolution weather guidance shows widespread shower activity across the entire area. This would be great news, however, I think it may be too overzealous as the upper level wind flow is quite flat right now. This means that it would be really difficult for showers to push very far north into our area. Instead, I think we’re probably looking at a scenario that features scattered showers late tonight and Monday morning across Western Mass and very isolated shower activity across Central Mass late tonight and Monday morning. Any shower activity should end by Monday afternoon with some sunshine likely during the afternoon. Low temperatures tonight will be near 65 Degrees. High temperatures Monday will be near 80 Degrees. Winds tonight will be southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Winds Monday will be south at 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday: A frontal boundary is expected to push through the area late Tuesday. This means that skies during the day will be partly sunny. It appears that a few showers and thunderstorms will be possible during the late afternoon and evening hours. Most areas, however, will stay dry. It will be very warm and humid with high temperatures between 85 and 90 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Wednesday & Thursday: Dry, but hot to very hot and humid weather is expected on both Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday will be sunny, hot and humid with high temperatures near 90 Degrees. Thursday looks sunny, very hot and very humid with high temperatures between 95 and 100 Degrees. Heat index readings of near 105 Degrees is possible due to the combination of very hot and very humid conditions (Dew point temperatures will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s). Friday: A frontal boundary is expected to slowly push through the area during Friday. Depending on how much moisture is available, it’s possible that we could see widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms throughout the day Friday. Fingers and toes crossed for some beneficial rainfall. High temperatures will be near 80 Degrees. Next Weekend: That frontal system may hang out close enough to the area on Saturday to bring the chance for a few showers during the day. High temperatures will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Next Sunday looks like we may see a mixture of sunshine and clouds with high temperatures near 85 Degrees.
