Dry Weather Is Expected Through This Weekend Across Western & Central Mass (Posted Late Thursday Morning 4/9/2026)

For This Afternoon & Tonight: Lots of sunshine can be expected throughout this afternoon. Temperatures will be in the middle and upper 50s. Winds will be South to Southwest at 10 to 20 mph. It should be noted that the combination of low humidity levels, a 10-20 mph wind and dry ground conditions will lead to an elevated risk for brush fires across the entire area throughout this afternoon.

Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected throughout tonight. Low temperatures will be between 30 and 35 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph.

Friday & Friday Night: Partly sunny skies are expected throughout the day on Friday. High temperatures will be near 65 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph.

A cold front is expected to cross the region during Friday night. This means that skies will be cloudy throughout Friday night and there may be a couple of isolated showers around, especially around midnight. Low temperatures will be around 40 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph before midnight and West to Northwest at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph after midnight.

This Weekend: A dry and nice weekend in terms of weather is expected across the entire area.

Saturday is expected to be sunny with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Also, there may be an elevated risk for brush fires on Saturday due to the combination of low humidity values, gusty winds and dry ground conditions.

Sunday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees.

Next Week: A warm front is expected to lift across the region during Monday morning bringing with it some scattered showers. By Monday afternoon, there should be some partial clearing. High temperatures Monday will be around 70 Degrees.

Those of you who have been begging me for summer weather will probably be very happy on Tuesday as 75 to 80 Degree high temperatures look likely under partly sunny skies.

Wednesday is expected to be cloudy and there may be some scattered showers around. High temperatures will be between 65 and 70 Degrees.

Next Thursday looks partly sunny with high temperatures around 70 Degrees.
