Dry Weather Is Expected For A Large Chunk Of This Week Across Western & Central Mass

For The Rest Of This Afternoon & Tonight: A cold front is now located just to our east & in its wake, we now have generally sunny to partly sunny skies across the entire area.

I do expect to see a partly sunny rest of this afternoon across all of Western and Central Mass. While most areas will probably stay dry, I do think that there will be a few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms late this afternoon and early this evening.

Temperatures during the rest of this afternoon will be in the upper 70s to around 80 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph.

Partly cloudy skies are expected throughout tonight. Low temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be West at 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday Through Wednesday: An area of high pressure is expected to control the weather throughout Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tuesday will be partly sunny with high temperatures around 75 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be in the mid and upper 50s. Winds will be West at 10 to 15 mph.

Clear skies are expected on Tuesday night with low temperatures around 55 Degrees. Winds will be West at around 10 mph.

Wednesday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be in the upper 50s. Winds will be West at 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Through Friday: That high pressure system will push off to the east during Thursday. At the same time this is occurring, it is expected that a frontal system will push its way eastward from the Great Lakes region. That front is expected to cross our area during Thursday night and Friday morning.

Thursday looks partly sunny for most of the day, however, skies will become cloudy by late in the day. In addition, some scattered showers are possible towards evening. High temperatures will be between 80 and 85 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s.

Scattered showers are expected throughout Thursday night. Some of these showers may last into Friday morning before coming to an end. Some sunshine may return to the area by Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, the clouds & showers Thursday night may impact the viewing of the expected almost total lunar eclipse (maximum eclipse is at 12:12 am Thursday night). Low temperatures Thursday night will be between 60 and 65 Degrees. High temperatures Friday will be around 80 Degrees. Dew point temperatures during Friday will be in the middle 60s.

Weekend Weather Outlook: At this point, it appears that an area of high pressure may build into the area during the weekend.

Saturday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 80 and 85 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be in the low 60s.

Sunday also looks partly sunny with high temperatures near 80 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be around 60 Degrees.
