Complex Of Thunderstorms Will Cross Western & Central Mass Between 7 pm and 9 pm This Evening

I continue to keep a close eye on a complex of thunderstorms that is about to cross the border from New York into Mass. These thunderstorms are generally moving towards the east-southeast at a forward speed of about 30-35 mph.

It is expected that these thunderstorms will make their way through the Berkshires over the next hour or so & should reach the Pioneer Valley of Western Mass by about 7 pm or so.

From there, these thunderstorms should continue heading in a east-southeasterly direction and move into the western Worcester Hills by about 7:30 pm or so. The rest of Worcester County then looks to be affected by these thunderstorms between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm this evening.

Some of these thunderstorms will be on the strong side and be capable of producing wind gusts of up to 40-60 mph, torrential downpours and frequent lightning. If you have plans early this evening, be aware that these thunderstorms will be moving through & some of them will be on the strong side.

More updates will be sent out as needed.
