Another Round Of Thunderstorms Are Possible Between 10 pm and Midnight Across Western & Central Mass

I just wanted to update you to let you know that there are some strong to severe thunderstorms to the west of Syracuse, New York that may be a problem for us between about 10 pm and midnight tonight.

These strong to severe thunderstorms are moving in a east-southeasterly direction at a forward speed of between 40 and 50 mph.

If these thunderstorms hold together, then they may affect the Berkshires by 10 pm, then the Pioneer Valley of Western Mass by between 10:30 pm and 11 pm. Central Mass may then be affected by these thunderstorms by about 11:30 pm to midnight or so.

Given that the atmosphere is currently very unstable & that it is likely to remain favorable for thunderstorms well after sunset, I do think that these storms to the west of Syracuse need to be watched very closely in the coming hours.

I will have more updates for you throughout this evening, so keep checking back!!
