A Windy Day Is Expected Today Across All Of Western & Central Mass

I wanted to give you a heads-up and let you know that it looks like it's going to be quite windy throughout the day today across all of Western and Central Mass. The reason for the windy weather is that there is going to be a tight pressure gradient behind a strong cold front that's now moving through the area as I write this.

How windy is it going to be today? I'm looking at West winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts of up to 35 to 45 mph throughout the day today. The winds might be strong enough to bring down some tree limbs and perhaps some power lines leading to isolated power outages.

Skies throughout the day today will be partly sunny and it will be less humid. High temperatures will be near 80 Degrees.
