For This Afternoon: An area of low pressure is expected to remain positioned offshore of the New England coast throughout this afternoon. This will lead to a chilly easterly wind to be in place.

Lots of clouds can be expected throughout this afternoon. Temperatures will range from the middle 50s across Central Mass to the upper 50s to near 60 Degrees across Western Mass. Winds will be East at around 10 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy skies are expected throughout tonight with low temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be Southeast at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: A strong cold front is expected to push across the entire area during the morning into the early afternoon hours. This front will not only bring a rainy day to all of Western and Central Mass, but it will also cause temperatures to fall during the afternoon leading the rain to mix with some snow in the Berkshires and the Worcester Hills during Sunday afternoon.

Widespread showers are expected to overspread all of Western and Central Mass by about mid-morning Sunday. These widespread showers are expected to continue through late Sunday morning and through Sunday afternoon. Some snow is expected to mix in with the rain showers across the Berkshires and across the Worcester Hills during Sunday afternoon. Even though you may see snow falling during Sunday afternoon if you’re located north of the Mass Pike, it is very likely not to accumulate & just melt on contact.

Temperatures on Sunday will start out in the mid to upper 40s during the morning, but will fall into the upper 30s to near 40 Degrees during the afternoon. Winds on Sunday will be West to Northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

Monday: Marathon Monday looks windy and chilly under a mixture of sunshine and clouds. This means that those of you that are heading to either the Boston Marathon or the very early Red Sox game will need to bundle up.

High temperatures Monday will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

Tuesday: Lots of sunshine can be expected on Tuesday with high temperatures near 50 Degrees.

Wednesday Through Friday: Some scattered rain showers will start the day on Wednesday with increasing sunshine expected by Wednesday afternoon. High temperatures Wednesday will be near 55 Degrees.

Thursday looks sunny with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees.

Friday is expected to be sunny with high temperatures near 60 Degrees.
