For Tonight: Partly cloudy skies are expected throughout tonight. Low temperatures will be near 60 Degrees. Winds will be West at around 10 mph.

Saturday: Most, if not all of the daylight hours of Saturday are expected to be dry across the area. More clouds than sunshine can be expected throughout the day with high temperatures of around 85 Degrees. Winds will be West to Southwest at 10 to 20 mph.

A Few Strong To Severe Thunderstorms Are Possible Saturday Evening: Increasing heat and humidity during the day on Saturday will lead to the development of a moderately unstable air mass by Saturday evening. At the same time this is occurring, an area of increasing wind shear values will move into our area by Saturday evening. Additionally, a cold front is expected to sweep through the area during Saturday evening. The combination of all of these factors will lead to an environment that is favorable for a few strong to severe thunderstorms to occur across all of Western and Central Mass during Saturday evening.

Current indications seem to point towards thunderstorms first affecting Western Mass beginning by 8 pm and lasting until about midnight.

As for Central Mass, thunderstorms are expected to begin affecting Central Mass by about 9-10 pm. These thunderstorms will last until about midnight.

A few of the thunderstorms during Saturday evening will be on the strong to severe side & will be capable of producing up to 60 mph wind gusts. Torrential downpours and frequent lightning will also accompany the thunderstorms during Saturday evening.

All thunderstorms will push to our east by just after midnight Saturday night.

Sunday: We are expected to start Sunday with dry conditions under a mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds. This will allow temperatures to rise to near 80 Degrees by midday under somewhat humid conditions with dew point temperatures in the low 60s.

Turning to Sunday afternoon, it is expected that an upper level weather disturbance will cross the region during the afternoon. A pool of cold air aloft will accompany this weather disturbance leading to an atmosphere that’s somewhat unstable.

This all means that widespread showers and thunderstorms will develop across all of Western and Central Mass between 12 pm and 2 pm. These widespread showers and thunderstorms will affect the entire area throughout the early and mid-afternoon hours before coming to an end by late afternoon. A couple of the thunderstorms may be on the strong side and be capable of produce small hail and gusty winds.

Monday & Tuesday: Some much drier weather is expected for both Monday and Tuesday.

Partly sunny skies are expected on Monday with high temperatures near 75 Degrees.

Tuesday looks sunny with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees.
