8 am Monday Morning Blizzard Update For Western & Central Mass

  • 1 min read

A little over 8 inches of snow has accumulated with snow and whiteout conditions occurring right now here in Sturbridge.

While snow continues to fall across the entire area at the time of this post, the heaviest intensity of snow is occurring across eastern and southeastern parts of Worcester County.

The steadiest and heaviest of snow is expected through midday across Western and especially Central Mass. The snow will then gradually lighten up this afternoon.

Additional snow amounts on top of what’s already accumulated will range from 2 to 5 more inches of snow across Western Mass to 6 to 8 more inches of snow across Central Mass.

Winds will continue to gust to 50 mph leading to a continuation of blizzard conditions across the entire area throughout the day today.

Once again if you absolutely do not have to be out on the roads, stay off of them. Extremely hazardous travel conditions are expected and it’s best to not travel at all.
