Strong to severe thunderstorms are now making their way across the Berkshires & there have reports of wind damage from these thunderstorms as they moved through. This includes a 64 mph wind gust in Pittsfield & a tree on a house in Stockbridge. Very frequent lightning and torrential downpours are also occurring with these strong to severe thunderstorms.

It is expected that these strong to severe thunderstorms will reach the middle and lower Pioneer Valley, including the Springfield Metro by between 10:45 pm and 11 pm. Once these thunderstorms reach you, expect them to last for about 30 minutes or so. Be aware that these thunderstorms are going to be strong to severe & because of this, they will produce up to 50-60 mph wind gusts, very frequent lightning and torrential downpours.

It then appears that these thunderstorms will move out of Western Mass and reach the western Worcester Hills by about 11:30 pm. These strong to severe thunderstorms are then anticipated to cross central and southern Worcester County between 11:30 pm and 12:30 am. Once these thunderstorms reach your location, expect them to last for about 30 minutes or so. These thunderstorms are likely to be strong & be capable of producing up to 50-60 mph wind gusts, very frequent lightning and torrential downpours.
