1 To 2 Inches Of Rain Expected From Tonight Through Mon & Mon Night Across Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: A stationary frontal system is positioned along the Mass-Vermont-New Hampshire border. Rain is currently occurring along this front with generally cloudy skies with some peeks of the sun occurring to the south of the front across Western and Central Mass. This afternoon is expected to feature cloudy skies with some peeks of the sun at times and some isolated to widely scattered showers. Temperatures this afternoon will be between 70 and 75 Degrees across most of Western and Central Mass. The exception will be near and north of Route 2 where temperatures will be in the middle 60s. Tonight: A slow moving frontal system will push eastward from the Ohio Valley tonight and will introduce rain to the area late tonight. Some scattered showers are expected this evening across the entire area with steady rain overspreading Western Mass by about midnight. That steady rain will begin across Central Mass shortly after midnight. Rain is then expected for the rest of the night across all of Western and Central Mass and the rain is likely to be heavy at times across the area starting just before dawn Monday morning. Low temperatures tonight will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Monday Through Monday Night: That frontal system will push its way slowly across the northeastern United States on Monday and Monday night. At the same time this is occurring, an area of low pressure will form along this front and move near the south coast of New England on Monday night. Rain, heavy at times, is expected to occur across all of Western and Central Mass throughout Monday morning into early Monday afternoon. A brief lull in the rainfall is possible for a few hours from mid-afternoon Monday until early Monday evening before a second round of rain moves in during Monday evening. This second round of rainfall, which will also fall at a heavy rate at times, is expected throughout Monday night before it comes to an end around sunrise Tuesday morning. Total rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts is expected from tonight through Monday and Monday night. Temperatures on Monday will be around 60 Degrees with temperatures on Monday night near 55 Degrees. Tuesday: Skies are expected to be cloudy throughout the day on Tuesday and it looks chilly with temperatures of 58 to 62 Degrees expected. Wednesday Through Friday: High pressure is expected to control our weather from Wednesday through Friday. Wednesday looks like a generally cloudy day with some peeks of sunshine expected by afternoon. High temperatures Wednesday will be between 65 and 70 Degrees. Thursday and Friday both look partly sunny with high temperatures both days between 70 and 75 Degrees.
