For This Afternoon: Lots of clouds mixed with some sunshine at times can be expected this afternoon. In addition, a very isolated shower or two is possible across areas near and south of the Mass Pike. Temperatures will be around 60 Degrees. Winds will be West at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight: A weak high pressure system will push into the region later tonight. Before that though, an isolated shower is possible this evening across areas near and south of the Mass Pike. This will be followed by partly cloudy skies after midnight tonight. Low temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Thursday: An area of high pressure will be in control of the weather throughout Thursday. This means that sunny to partly sunny skies can be expected throughout the day Thursday. High temperatures will be near 65 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Friday Through Saturday: The combination of a frontal system pushing eastward into the region and a coastal storm system that’s expected to move across the Cape by Friday night means that rain can be expected across the entire area starting Friday afternoon and continuing through Friday night and Saturday. Rain looks to overspread the entire area during Friday afternoon. The rain is then expected to continue through all of Friday night and all of Saturday before coming to an end by about midnight or so Saturday night. It should be noted that the rain will be moderate to heavy at times during Friday night and then again during Saturday afternoon. Rainfall amounts from this upcoming storm looks to average around one inch or so across the entire area. High temperatures Friday will be near 65 Degrees. Low temperatures Friday night will be near 55 Degrees. High temperatures Saturday will be between 60 and 65 Degrees. Sunday Through Monday: Some windy weather looks likely for Sunday, Sunday night and Monday as that low pressure system strengthens as it heads up towards Maine. The pressure gradient between the strong low pressure system to our northeast and building high pressure to the west will be very tight and because of this, west to northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph can be expected throughout Sunday, Sunday night and Monday. A mixture of sunshine and clouds can be expected on Sunday along with some isolated showers. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Monday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Monday Night Through Tuesday: The first widespread frost looks quite possible for Monday night as a high pressure system builds into the region. In fact, a hard freeze is possible in some isolated locations Monday night. Low temperatures Monday night will be between 30 and 35 Degrees under clear skies. Tuesday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures between 50 and 55 Degrees.

For This Afternoon: Scattered showers can be expected this afternoon as a piece of upper level energy combined with some very cold air aloft. This will lead to an unstable atmosphere across the entire area causing the formation of hit or miss showers this afternoon. It should be noted that some of the heavier showers could produce small hail or even a rumble or two of thunder. Temperatures this afternoon will be around 55 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 10 to 20 mph. Tonight & Tuesday: Any leftover showers will come to an end this evening with mainly dry weather expected from later tonight through Tuesday. Skies tonight will be cloudy with low temperatures near 45 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph. Tuesday looks like there will be a mixture of sunshine and clouds throughout the day. There could be a very isolated shower or two during the afternoon, but a majority of the area will be dry. High temperatures will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph. Wednesday Through Friday: Drier weather looks to move into the area for Wednesday and Thursday with lots of sunshine expected both days. High temperatures Wednesday will be between 60 and 65 Degrees. High temperatures Thursday will be near 65 Degrees. Turning to Friday, a frontal system is expected to head eastward while a coastal low pressure system takes shape near the southeastern coast of the United States. This all means that there will be an increase in clouds during the day on Friday. In addition, some showers may move in by late in the day. High temperatures will be near 65 Degrees. Weekend Weather Forecast: The combination of that frontal system pushing across the area and a strengthening low pressure system that looks to track to near the Cape by late Saturday means that a washout looks quite possible for at least the first half of the weekend. Saturday looks possibly wet with rain all day long and that rain could be heavy at times. High temperatures will be between 60 and 65 Degrees. As that low pressure system pulls away towards Maine, it has the potential to strengthen rapidly. This means that Sunday could be quite windy, along with a mixture of sunshine and clouds and some scattered afternoon showers. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees.
