For Tonight: An area of low pressure is expected to strengthen as it moves northeastward and crosses Southern New England late tonight. This storm system will bring a round of heavy rain throughout tonight across the entire area. Rain is expected to overspread all of Western and Central Mass around the 7 to 8 pm time frame this evening and then continue throughout all of tonight. The rain will be heavy at times, especially between midnight and 4 am. The rain is expected to come to an end by sunrise Monday morning with total rainfall amounts tonight of around one inch expected. Low temperatures will be near 35 Degrees. Winds will be East at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Monday: That low pressure system will push into northern New England by first thing Monday morning and this will lead to a mostly dry day on Monday. Any leftover showers will end by 7-8 am Monday morning with skies becoming sunny to partly sunny by afternoon. High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Monday Night: Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected with low temperatures near 25 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 20 mph. Tuesday Through Wednesday: A cold front is expected to push through the area during the day on Tuesday ushering in some of the coldest air we have seen thus far this season for later Tuesday, Tuesday night and Wednesday. Tuesday looks partly sunny and there may be an isolated snow flurry or two during the afternoon. High temperatures will be near 35 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Tuesday night is expected to be clear to partly cloudy with low temperatures near 20 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Wind chill temperatures will be around Zero during Tuesday night. Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures between 30 and 35 Degrees. The exception looks to be first thing Saturday morning when some leftover rain from Friday night will be coming to an end. This means that rain ends during Saturday morning with skies becoming sunny by Saturday afternoon. High temperatures will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Next Sunday looks sunny with high temperatures near 40 Degrees.

Are You A: - Town/City Department Head (DPW Director, Fire Chief, Police Chief, Town Manager, etc.) - Property Management Company Owner - Contractor that does outdoor work for your clients. - Construction company owner - A business owner that needs to make closing decisions based on weather conditions. - Someone that heavily relies on the weather & needs specific & very localized weather guidance & weather updates.

Route 20 Weather can be your weather consultant/vendor for weather information and be your specific go-to for weather information for whatever need you may have.

This would be in addition to the generalized weather forecasts I already write for Western and Central Mass and would be extremely specific and tailored to your needs.

For example, some very specific weather information I can provide includes, forecasts of start/stop times of snow/ice/rain; amounts of each precipitation type; when approximately the worst part of a storm will be; wind speed/direction during a storm. If there are other parameters you are looking for, let me know and I can see what I can do.

Additionally, I can also give you a heads-up of when a storm may be coming days in advance.

One important advantage that I have over other weather vendors is that I am about as local as you can get. Unlike most others, I live in the area that I forecast for and whatever weather that I forecast affects me too.

Many other weather vendors and services are located out of the state and they cover the entire country. I cover only Western and Central Mass and this is important because I only focus on this area and I’m not distracted by other areas of the country.

As for price, that’s very negotiable and will depend on what your needs are and how often you need me for weather consulting. If you are interested, feel free to contact me at contact@route20weather.com .

Finally, if you're "on the fence" still on hiring me for weather consulting, consider that our past forecasts for clients have given them the opportunity to prepare earlier than others and not have to rush staffing and equipment.

Also, the feedback from my consulting work has been extremely positive. One comment I received last winter from a local Central Mass town DPW director was as follows,

“Your forecasts have been very good and extremely helpful. Spot on a few weeks ago with the timing of the potential freeze. We typically do not work the Friday before Monday holidays so being able to send a group message for my crew to be in a certain time so we can be on the roads treating before the ice came was fantastic. Overtime can be very costly for the residents . Again thanks for everything.”

For Tonight: Clear skies are expected tonight with low temperatures between 20 and 25 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 10 to 20 mph. Saturday: Quite a bit of sunshine can be expected throughout Saturday with high temperatures between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 5 to 10 mph. Sunday: Skies are expected to start out sunny to partly sunny, but clouds are expected to be on the increase during the afternoon as an area of low pressure develops off of the Mid-Atlantic coast. High temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Sunday Night & Monday: An area of low pressure is expected to track from off of the Mid-Atlantic coast Sunday evening to near the Cape during Monday morning. This storm system is expected to bring all rain to the entire area from just before midnight Sunday until about midday on Monday. So, rain will overspread the entire area just before midnight on Sunday night and then continue through after midnight hours of Sunday night. This rain will continue through Monday morning before ending around midday on Monday. I do think that the rain will be heavy at times between about 3 am and 9 am Monday. Total rainfall amounts of between three quarters of an inch (0.75”) and one inch (1.00”) can be expected. Once the rain ends around midday Monday, skies should remain cloudy throughout Monday afternoon. Low temperatures Sunday night will be near 35 Degrees. High temperatures Monday will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. For The Rest Of Next Week: A prolonged period of dry weather is expected during the middle and later parts of next week. It should be noted that a persistent northwesterly wind flow will usher in below average temperatures throughout next week. Tuesday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures between 35 and 40 Degrees. Wednesday will be partly sunny with high temperatures between 35 and 40 Degrees. Thursday is expected to be sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 40 Degrees. Next Friday will be sunny with high temperatures between 35 and 40 Degrees.
