Wet Weather Is Expected For Saturday Night & Sunday Morning Across Western & Central Mass

For Tonight: Clear to partly cloudy skies this evening will give way to cloudy skies after midnight tonight. Low temperatures will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be Southeast at 5 to 10 mph. Saturday: A frontal system will slowly approach the region during the day on Saturday. Cloudy skies are expected throughout the day on Saturday. In addition, some isolated showers can be expected mainly across Western Mass during the afternoon. High temperatures will be between 60 and 65 Degrees. Winds will be East at 10 to 20 mph. Saturday Night & Sunday: That frontal system will continue to push eastward reaching far western Mass by sunrise Sunday morning. That front will then push through the entire region during Sunday morning. Isolated showers are expected during Saturday evening with widespread showers overspreading the region during the after midnight hours of Saturday night. Some of the showers after midnight Saturday night will produce locally heavy rainfall. Widespread showers with locally heavy rainfall is then expected throughout Sunday morning. Shower activity is then expected to come to an end, first across Western Mass by midday Sunday and then across Central Mass during the early afternoon hours of Sunday. Rainfall totals from late Saturday night through Sunday morning will average between one inch and one and one half inches. This is, obviously, going to be extremely beneficial since it’s been so dry lately. Low temperatures Saturday night will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. High temperatures Sunday will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds Saturday night will be East at 10 to 20 mph. Winds on Sunday will be Southeast at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Next Week’s Weather Outlook: Next week looks fairly unsettled. While it doesn’t look like a total washout by any means, there will be many more chances of rainfall than what we’ve seen recently. Monday looks cloudy and there will be scattered showers around. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Tuesday is expected to be cloudy and there may be some isolated showers around. High temperatures will be between 50 and 55 Degrees. Wednesday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees. Thursday is expected to be cloudy with isolated showers. High temperatures will be near 55 Degrees. Next Friday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees.
