Some Light Snow Is Expected From Late Saturday Night To Early Sunday Morning Across Western & Central Mass

For Tonight & Saturday: Clear skies are expected throughout tonight with low temperatures between 10 and 15 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 20 mph.


Saturday looks to start out sunny to partly sunny during the morning. Skies will then become cloudy during the afternoon. High temperatures will be between 25 and 30 Degrees. Winds will be West at 10 to 15 mph.


Saturday Night & Sunday: A fast moving weak low pressure system is expected to push across the area during the late night hours of Saturday night into Sunday morning. This low pressure system may bring a period of very light snow from after midnight on Saturday night to just after sunrise on Sunday morning.


Some intermittent very light snow is expected to occur across the entire area during the after midnight hours of Saturday night. The light snow looks to last until about sunrise on Sunday morning before it comes to an end just after sunrise Sunday morning.


Snow totals late Saturday night to sunrise Sunday morning looks to be one inch or less across the entire area.


Once the light snow ends early Sunday morning, skies will feature varying amounts of clouds throughout the day on Sunday. It’s possible that there could be a few afternoon snow showers around.


Low temperatures Saturday night will be near 15 Degrees. High temperatures Sunday will be near 30 Degrees. Winds on Saturday night will be West at 5 to 10 mph. Winds on Sunday will be West to Northwest at 7 to 14 mph.


Next Week’s Weather Outlook: An area of high pressure will control the weather during Monday leading to partly sunny skies throughout the day. High temperatures will be between 20 and 25 Degrees.


An area of low pressure is forecast to track across the region during Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. This low pressure system may bring a period of snow, sleet and freezing rain during Tuesday night and Wednesday morning across the entire area. This weather system will be watched closely in the coming days as it may affect Wednesday morning travel.


Those of you that are wanting reprieve from the very cold temperatures that we’ve had, you might get a chance for that later next week. A milder weather pattern has the chance to set up across the region during the second half of next week. This looks to lead towards daytime high temperatures in the low to mid 40s and nighttime low temperatures in the upper 20s to near 30 Degrees on Thursday and next Friday.
