For This Afternoon: Cloudy skies are expected throughout this afternoon. It’s possible that there could be a passing isolated snow shower during this afternoon.
Temperatures will be between 30 and 35 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph.
Some Snow Is Expected From About Midnight Tonight Until About Mid To Late Morning Sunday: Moisture on the backside of a frontal boundary is expected to overspread all of Southern New England this evening. This will lead to a widespread snowfall to occur across parts of Western and Central Mass with more snow the further south you go across our area. The reason for this is due to dry, Arctic air shutting off the snow quickly across northern parts of Worcester County into the northern parts of the Pioneer Valley and the northern Berkshires. This quick shutoff of the snow will lead to very little in the way of snow accumulation. Further south, the snow is expected to persist longer across southern Worcester County into the lower Pioneer Valley. This will lead to somewhat higher snow amounts across these areas.
Light snow is expected to overspread the entire area from south to north between 11 pm and 1 am tonight. The snow is then expected to continue through the after midnight hours of tonight across the entire area.
Snow is expected to come to an end across the Berkshires and the upper Pioneer Valley around sunrise Sunday morning and then across the lower Pioneer Valley and northern parts of Worcester County by mid-morning. Across southern and especially southeastern parts of Worcester County, it appears that the snow will hang on for a while during Sunday morning before it comes to an end around midday Sunday.
My latest forecast snowfall map for tonight through Sunday morning has been attached to this post.

Low temperatures tonight will be between 20 and 25 Degrees. Temperatures during Sunday morning will be in the low to mid 20s. Winds tonight will be West to Southwest at 5 to 10 mph before midnight and West to Northwest at 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds on Sunday morning will be Northwest at 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday Afternoon, Sunday Night & Monday: Another shot of Arctic air will invade the region during Sunday night and Monday.
Sunday afternoon is expected to be cloudy with temperatures between 25 and 30 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 10 to 20 mph.
Sunday night looks clear, cold and windy with low temperatures between 5 and 10 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 15 to 25 mph.
Monday is expected to be sunny to partly sunny, cold and windy. High temperatures will be between 20 and 25 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 15 to 25 mph.
