For This Afternoon: An area of high pressure will bring beautiful weather to the entire area throughout this afternoon.
Lots of sunshine can be expected throughout this afternoon. Temperatures will be between 80 and 85 Degrees. Humidity levels will be comfortable with dew point temperatures around 55 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 7 to 14 mph.
Tonight & Sunday Morning: A warm front is expected to push through the area late tonight into early Sunday morning. This warm front will bring with it some warm and very humid conditions during Sunday afternoon.
Partly cloudy skies are expected during this evening with cloudy skies expected during the after midnight hours of tonight. A few showers are possible during Sunday morning as the actual warm front moves through the region. Any showers that do occur will be done by late morning.
It’s going to turn very humid again by Sunday morning with dew point temperatures rising to around 70 Degrees.
Low temperatures tonight will be between 62 and 67 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday Afternoon & Sunday Evening: A strong cold front is expected to push through the region by Sunday evening bringing with it the threat for scattered thunderstorms, some of which may be strong to severe.
A warm and very humid afternoon is expected across the entire area which will lead to an unstable and favorable atmosphere for thunderstorm development. How widespread the thunderstorms will be & whether they will be strong or severe will depend on how much sunshine we see during the afternoon. If we remain socked in with clouds, then the atmosphere will not be able to become that unstable. On the other hand, if we see some sunshine during the afternoon, then the atmosphere will be able to become quite unstable & be capable of producing strong to severe storms.
There is enough evidence in the data for me to think that we will see a line of scattered thunderstorms move from northwest to southeast across the entire area between 4 pm and 8 pm. Some of the thunderstorms may be strong to severe & be capable of producing 40-60 mph wind gusts, torrential downpours and frequent lightning.
I am watching the thunderstorm potential for late Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening very closely and will have more updates for you as needed.
High temperatures will be between 84 and 89 Degrees. Dew point temperatures will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 7 to 15 mph.
