Rain Is Expected Saturday Night Across Western & Central Mass; Next Week Looks Colder Than Average For Temperatures

For This Afternoon: Partly sunny skies early this afternoon will give way to a mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds during the mid and late afternoon hours.


Temperatures will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be Northwest at 10 to 20 mph.


Tonight: Mostly cloudy skies early this evening will give way to clear skies towards midnight. Clear skies are then expected during the after midnight hours.


Low temperatures will be near 25 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest 6 to 12 mph.


Saturday: An area of high pressure will push offshore during the day as a warm front begins to approach the region by late in the day.


Sunny to partly sunny skies are expected throughout the morning. This will be followed by skies clouding up during the afternoon.


High temperatures will be near 45 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 7 to 14 mph in the morning and Southwest at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.


Saturday Night: A warm front is expected to push through the area during Saturday night bringing with it a round of rain throughout the night.


It is expected that rain will overspread all of Western and Central Mass between 6 pm and 8 pm. Once the rain begins, it will then continue raining through a large part of Saturday night. The rain looks to taper off to a few showers by 4 to 6 am or so Sunday morning.


The low temperatures of near 35 Degrees are expected to occur during the evening. Temperatures will then rise into the low 40s by after midnight. Winds Southwest at 10 to 15 mph, becoming West by morning.


Sunday: Any leftover showers will be done by 7-8 am Sunday morning. This will be followed by mostly cloudy skies throughout the rest of the morning. A mixture of sunshine and clouds is then expected during the afternoon.


High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. Winds will be West to Northwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph, especially during the afternoon.


Next Week: Generally colder than average temperatures are expected throughout next week as we will be stuck in a northwesterly wind flow.


Monday looks partly sunny and windy with high temperatures near 40 Degrees.


Tuesday will be partly sunny with high temperatures near 40 Degrees.


Wednesday and Thursday both look sunny to partly sunny. High temperatures both days will be between 40 and 45 Degrees.


Next Friday looks cloudy and it appears there may be some scattered showers around. High temperatures will be near 45 Degrees.
