For This Afternoon: Lots of sunshine can be expected through the first half of this afternoon across the entire area. Skies then look to become cloudy by mid and especially late this afternoon across Central Mass as a low stratus layer of clouds pushes westward into the area. Across Western Mass, skies look to be partly sunny during the mid and late afternoon hours.
Temperatures throughout this afternoon will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds will be Southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight: That low stratus layer of clouds is expected to push even further westward into Western Mass this evening, which means skies tonight will be cloudy across the entire area.
Low temperatures will be near 25 Degrees. Winds will be East to Northeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: Even though high pressure will be in control during Thursday, an easterly low-level wind flow will cause much more clouds than sunshine across the entire area throughout the day.
High temperatures will be near 40 Degrees. Winds will be East at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday Night & Friday: A frontal system is expected to push through the region during late Thursday night into Friday. In addition to this, it appears that a low pressure system may form and strengthen along this front during the day Friday, which could enhance the rainfall a bit during Friday afternoon.
Initially, on Thursday night, surface temperatures look to start out in the lower 30s, which means that precipitation could begin as some light snow and light freezing rain. This light snow and light freezing rain looks to overspread the entire area between about 9 pm and midnight and with areas of light snow and light freezing rain continuing through the after midnight hours of Thursday night.
Any snow amounts look to be a dusting, at most. Likewise, ice accumulations from any light freezing rain look to be minimal, but as you know, even a little bit of freezing rain can lead to some pretty icy conditions and this looks to be a possibility after about 9-10 pm Thursday night.
As we get into Friday, any light snow or light freezing rain should quickly change to periods of light rain just after sunrise. Periods of light rain then looks likely throughout Friday morning. An area of heavier rain then looks to traverse the area during the mid and late afternoon hours of Friday.

This Weekend: A partly sunny, chilly and windy day is expected on Saturday with high temperatures between 30 and 35 Degrees. Winds will be West at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
Lots of sunshine can be expected on Sunday with high temperatures between 35 and 40 Degrees.
Monday Through Wednesday: A southwesterly wind flow is expected to set up across the region next week leading to well above average temperatures.
Monday looks cloudy with some scattered showers around. High temperatures will be between 45 and 50 Degrees.
