Memorial Day Weekend Weather Outlook For Western & Central Mass

This Afternoon: Sunny to partly sunny skies are expected throughout this afternoon as high pressure moves over our area. Temperatures this afternoon will be around 75 Degrees. Winds this afternoon will be south at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight & Thursday: That high pressure system will continue to control our weather tonight and all day Thursday. This means that skies tonight will be clear to partly cloudy and skies on Thursday will be partly sunny. Low temperatures tonight will be between 45 and 50 Degrees. High temperatures Thursday will be between 70 and 75 Degrees. Winds tonight will be south at 5 to 10 mph. Winds on Thursday will be south at 8 to 16 mph. Friday Through Saturday: It appears that a frontal system will rotate through the area during Friday night and Saturday. Friday is expected to be cloudy, warm and humid. In addition, there may be a few showers and thunderstorms around by about late afternoon. High temperatures Friday will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Winds on Friday will be southwest at 10 to 20 mph. Widespread showers are expected on Friday night with this shower activity persisting into Saturday morning before gradually tapering off during Saturday afternoon. Low temperatures Friday night will be near 65 Degrees. High temperatures Saturday will be near 75 Degrees. Sunday & Memorial Day: The forecast for Sunday is somewhat uncertain as even though that frontal system will be located to our east, there could be a small low pressure system that passes near the south coast of New England. At this point, skies look to be partly sunny on Sunday, but there could be more clouds than sunshine across areas south of the Mass Pike. High temperatures Sunday will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Memorial Day looks partly sunny with high temperatures near 80 Degrees. Tuesday & Next Wednesday: High pressure located off of the East Coast of the United States will put our area into a very warm and humid southwesterly wind flow. Tuesday looks partly sunny with increasing amounts of humidity with high temperatures near 85 Degrees. Next Wednesday looks partly sunny and humid with high temperatures between 85 and 90 Degrees.
