For This Afternoon: An area of high pressure positioned over the Great Lakes region will provide a very nice weekend in terms of weather across the entire area. This means that lots of sunshine can be expected for this afternoon with temperatures between 80 and 85 Degrees and very comfortable humidity levels. Winds will be north at about 5 mph. Tonight: Clear skies, low humidity levels and light winds will lead to an unusually cool night tonight across the entire area. Low temperatures will be between 48 and 53 Degrees. Winds will be north at 5 mph or less. Sunday: An area of high pressure will continue to control the weather throughout Sunday with lots of sunshine expected. High temperatures will be near 80 Degrees. Winds will be north at about 5 mph. Monday: That high pressure system will move offshore during Monday and this will lead to a southwest wind to import warmer and more humid air into the region. Monday is expected to feature lots of sunshine with high temperatures between 84 and 88 Degrees. Winds will be southwest at 8 to 16 mph. Tuesday: Even warmer and more humid weather is expected on Tuesday as a southwesterly wind flow strengthens over the region. At the same time this is occurring, a frontal boundary will be approaching from the west. This all means that Tuesday will be partly sunny, very warm and humid. Some isolated late afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms are possible across the region. This shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to become a little more widespread during the overnight hours of Tuesday night. High temperatures on Tuesday will be between 85 and 90 Degrees. Low temperatures Tuesday night will be between 65 and 70 Degrees. Wednesday: A secondary cold front is expected to be draped across the region during Wednesday and this will lead to a mixture of sunshine and clouds throughout the day. Additionally, some scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon and evening. It will be very warm and humid on Wednesday with high temperatures between 85 and 90 Degrees. Thursday & Friday: How far south that cold front pushes is going to be crucial in determining the weather forecast for late next week and next weekend. The further south that front pushes, the drier our weather will be. At this point, Thursday and Friday both look partly sunny with high temperatures both days between 80 and 85 Degrees.
