For Tonight: Varying amounts of clouds and windy conditions are expected throughout tonight. Low temperatures will be around 15 Degrees. Winds will be West at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40-45 mph before midnight and West at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph after midnight.
New Year’s Eve: Varying amounts of clouds can be expected throughout the day on New Year’s Eve. High temperatures will be near 30 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph.
Light snow looks to ring in the New Year tomorrow night as a cold front sweeps across the region. Current indications point towards light snow overspreading the entire area between about 9 pm and 11 pm and then continuing through the ball drop. During the after midnight hours of tomorrow night, light snow looks to continue for a few hours before it comes to an end just before sunrise on New Year’s Day. Snowfall amounts tomorrow night look to average around one inch across much of Western and Central Mass. The exception may be across the Pioneer Valley of Western Mass where a dusting of snow looks most probable. Low temperatures will be near 15 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 10 to 20 mph.
Those of you that will be out and about ringing in the New Year, be cautious on area roads as they may be slick in spots due to the light snow. Also, bundle up as it’s going to be a cold New Year’s Eve night.
New Years Day: Cloudy skies are expected first thing in the morning, but skies will become partly sunny by late morning. Sunny to partly sunny skies are then expected during the afternoon.
High temperatures will be near 25 Degrees. Winds will be West at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
Friday Through Sunday: Colder than average temperatures are expected throughout the first weekend of 2026.
Friday looks partly sunny with high temperatures near 25 Degrees.
Saturday and Sunday both look partly sunny. High temperatures both days will be around 25 Degrees. DONATE TO HELP WITH COSTS & SUPPORT MY WEATHER OPERATIONS: First, I’d like to thank everyone once again for your continued support. If it were not for you, I would not be able to do a job that I love so very much – forecasting the weather for Western and Central Mass.
I’m reaching out to you to ask if you would help us out in alleviate the costs required for producing these weather forecasts for Western and Central Mass.
I do not get paid for the weather forecasts and the weather updates that I post on the Route 20 Weather website or on this Facebook page. It’s completely a public service to help out this area of the state which is vastly under served when it comes to weather coverage.
So, any donations are extremely helpful to offset the cost of the data that I pay for to analyze the weather and also for the amount of time I put into analyzing and forecasting the weather.
