Fairly Decent Weather This Weekend Across Western & Central Mass With 2 Rain Storms Next Week

For This Afternoon: A frontal system will pass through the area this afternoon. This will be a dry front with only a wind shift expected followed by a decrease in the humidity. Skies this afternoon will be partly sunny with temperatures between 65 and 70 Degrees. Tonight: Skies tonight will start out partly cloudy, but will become cloudy after midnight as a piece of atmospheric energy rotates through the area. Low temperatures tonight will be between 39 and 44 Degrees. Saturday: That piece of atmospheric energy will continue to push through the area during Saturday morning with it moving away during the afternoon. This means that Saturday morning will be cloudy with a mix of sun and clouds expected during Saturday afternoon. High temperatures Saturday will be near 55 Degrees. Saturday Night: Partly cloudy skies are expected on Saturday night with low temperatures between 35 and 40 Degrees. It should be noted that some isolated frost is possible late Saturday night and early Sunday morning in the deepest valleys and the normally cold spots. Sunday: A dry air mass will settle over the area during Sunday. Overall, I expect a good amount of sunshine on Sunday, but there will be some clouds dotting the sky from time to time. High temperatures Sunday will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Rain Is Expected From Sunday Night Through Monday, Monday Night & Tuesday:An area of low pressure moving eastward from the Ohio Valley on Sunday night and Monday will cross southern New England by Monday night and Tuesday. It appears that rain will overspread Western and Central Mass by about midnight Sunday night and then continue through all of Monday, all of Monday night and all of Tuesday. High temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will be near 55 Degrees and low temperatures on Sunday night and Monday night will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Uncertain Forecast For The Middle & End Of Next Week: The confidence and accuracy of the forecast for the middle and end of next week is quite low right now. The reason for this is that it’s uncertain as to whether the first storm system will move out by late Tuesday or linger over the area through Tuesday night and Wednesday. If that happens, there would be very little, if any break in the rain before a second storm system moves in for Thursday night and Friday. Worst case scenario is for a very wet week next week with rain pretty much every day next week. On the other hand, the best case scenario is that we see a dry day on Wednesday and the first half of Thursday before more rain moves in late Thursday and stays around through Friday. First Look At The Halloween Forecast: Early indications are that next Saturday will feature lots of clouds and shower activity with high temperatures near 60 Degrees. Next Saturday night looks cloudy with the possibility of a shower or two and low temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees. Next Sunday (Halloween) currently looks cloudy with some scattered shower activity and high temperatures between 55 and 60 Degrees. Next Sunday Night (Halloween Night) looks partly cloudy with low temperatures near 40 Degrees.
