This Weekend: There continues to be a large amount of uncertainty as to whether a storm system pushing off of the East Coast of the United States will affect our weather or not.
Both the track and strength of this storm system are very uncertain as the weather forecast guidance continue to depict a lot of different scenarios with some guidance flip-flopping from one extreme to another in just one model run. Because of this, you should not believe anyone on YouTube or on social media that are showing the models that are now depicting a big snowstorm for our area as we are far from really knowing how this storm might play out.
That said, all options in terms of how this storm might affect our area are still very much on the table. These scenarios include a complete miss to the south, which would leave us with no snow. The scenarios also include a storm that passes near the Cape, which would lead to a significant snowfall along with very gusty winds for the entire area starting on Saturday afternoon and lasting until late Sunday morning.
I think that we’re still at least a couple of days away from really knowing how this storm might play out and what sort of impacts it might have on our area.
I will be watching this possible storm closely throughout this week and will have many more updates for you as needed.
For now, this is what I’m going with for this weekend:
Saturday will be cloudy and there is the possibility of some snow during the afternoon. High temperatures will be between 30 and 35 Degrees.
Saturday night looks cloudy and there is the possibility of some snow throughout the night. Low temperatures will be between 20 and 25 Degrees.
Sunday will be cloudy with some snow possible in the morning. High temperatures will be near 35 Degrees.
