9 pm Wednesday Evening Weather Update For Western & Central Mass

It looks like it's going to be another night of tracking thunderstorms & trying to determine exactly when they will affect Western and Central Mass.
Radar imagery as of the time of this post showed an area of strong thunderstorms that are producing very gusty winds, torrential downpours and very frequent lightning located to the west of Albany, New York. These thunderstorms seem to be tracking in a general east-southeasterly direction at a forward speed of about 30 mph or so.
Based on the current forward motion of these storms, they should move into the Berkshires between 11 and 11:30 pm & then move through the entire Pioneer Valley of Western Mass around midnight.
These thunderstorms will have the capability of producing wind gusts of up to 45 to 50 mph, torrential downpours and frequent lightning when they move through the Berkshires and the Pioneer Valley.
Further east, it currently appears that these thunderstorms may cross much of, if not all of Central Mass during the 1 am to 2 am hour.
These thunderstorms will be capable of producing wind gusts of up to 40 mph, torrential downpours and frequent lightning when they cross Central Mass.
I will be watching these storms closely and will have updates as needed.
As ever Rob, thanks for providing the best, up to date information. Your vigilance is appreciated.
