Snow is currently falling across all of Western and Central Mass at the time of this post. The snow intensity right now varies from mainly light across Western Mass to light to moderate in intensity across Central Mass.
Road conditions across the entire area are now slick. In fact, scanner radio traffic from my immediate local area (Sturbridge) indicates that there have been multiple traffic accidents in just the last few minutes in Sturbridge, Charlton and Southbridge. I urge you to exercise extreme care if you are out and about on roads as they are slick.
Snow is expected to continue throughout all of tonight. The snow intensity will be moderate to perhaps heavy at times across Central Mass between now and midnight and mostly light in intensity across Western Mass. Light snow is then expected across the entire area during the after midnight hours.
The light snow looks to persist through sunrise Monday morning and should come to an end by or just before mid-morning Monday.
Additional snowfall amounts throughout the rest of tonight until it ends by mid-morning Monday will range from 3 to 4 inches across all of Central Mass to 2 to 3 more inches of snow accumulation across Western Mass.
