For Tonight: Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected throughout tonight with low temperatures between 20 and 25 Degrees. Winds will be North at 10 to 20 mph.

Tuesday: The most amount of sunshine is expected across Western Mass with sunny to partly sunny skies expected all day Tuesday.

Across Central Mass, it appears that skies will start out sunny, but skies look to become cloudy by afternoon as a northeasterly wind flow pulls ocean-effect clouds westward into the area.

High temperatures will be near 35 Degrees. Winds will be North to Northeast at 10 to 20 mph.

Wednesday & Thursday: An area of high pressure will control the weather throughout Wednesday and Thursday. This will lead to more sunshine along with some milder temperatures by Thursday.

Wednesday will be partly sunny with high temperatures between 35 and 40 Degrees.

Partly sunny skies are also expected on Thursday with high temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees.

Friday Through Sunday: A fairly weak frontal system looks to move across the region during this weekend. The southwesterly wind flow out ahead of this front will lead to some pretty mild temperatures by Saturday.

Friday looks cloudy with high temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees.

Saturday will also be cloudy, but it will be quite mild. In addition, some very isolated rain showers are possible during the afternoon. High temperatures will be near 50 Degrees.

Sunday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures near 45 Degrees.

Next Week’s Weather Outlook: The weather pattern is expected to turn a lot more chaotic next week as the entire North American weather pattern completely reverses into one that eventually becomes much more wintry by the second half of this month. This chaotic weather pattern will bring with it quite a bit of uncertainty in the weather forecast for next week.

At this time, there are some signals for a storm system to move through early next week. Weather forecast guidance is not at all consistent with the details of this storm with some guidance showing a mild storm that brings rain while other guidance shows more of a coastal storm that brings some snow. Also, weather forecast guidance have been wavering from a storm that affects us on Monday to a storm that affects the area around next Wednesday. I told you the weather pattern is chaotic!!

My thinking this far out is that this could be a mixed bag type of storm with precipitation starting out as rain late next Monday afternoon and next Monday evening that changes to some snow late next Monday night and next Tuesday morning. All precipitation then ends by next Tuesday afternoon.

Beyond this, the overall weather pattern looks to reorient itself into one that looks a lot more wintry by late next week right through President’s Day weekend. This will include a big upper level trough of low pressure sinking into the southern and eastern United States.

While this definitely means we’ll go back into temperatures that are below average during the second half of this month, along with a weather pattern that probably will lead to at least one, if not two big winter storms, the exact details still need to be ironed out. Stay tuned, for sure!!!

For The Rest Of This Afternoon: There’s going to be quite the stretch of quiet weather across the area that’ll last for at least a week and possibly a little longer than that.

After 2 weeks of no sunshine, I’ve kind of forgotten what a sunny day feels like!! Skies throughout the rest of this afternoon will be sunny to partly sunny with temperatures near 35 Degrees. Winds will be North at 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight: Clear to partly cloudy skies are expected throughout tonight with low temperatures between 20 and 25 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: A bright sunny and blue sky day is expected on Sunday across the entire area. High temperatures will be between 35 and 40 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph.

Next Week’s Weather Forecast: A persistently dry northerly wind flow next week will lead to quite a bit in the way of sunshine across the entire area next week.

Monday is expected to be sunny with high temperatures near 35 Degrees. Winds will be North at 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures near 35 Degrees.

Wednesday looks sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures between 35 and 40 Degrees.

Thursday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees.

Friday looks partly sunny with high temperatures between 40 and 45 Degrees.

For This Afternoon: Plenty of low-level moisture will remain in place across the region throughout this afternoon.

This means that skies will remain cloudy throughout this afternoon with temperatures between 30 and 35 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: I do think that skies will be cloudy once again tonight with low temperatures between 25 and 30 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: That low-level moisture boundary will remain in place throughout Thursday leading to yet another cloudy skies across the area. In addition to this, it appears that a cold front will push through the area during the late afternoon and evening hours bringing with it some scattered snow and rain showers between about 5 pm and 10 pm.

High temperatures Thursday will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds will be Southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday Night & Friday: That cold front will push to the south of our area by later Thursday night, however, it appears that a wave of low pressure will travel along this front during Friday. At this point, it looks likely that this wave of low pressure should remain too far south of our area to cause any significant weather problems.

Skies throughout Thursday night and Friday will be cloudy. In addition, some rain or snow showers are possible during Friday morning across areas near and south of the Mass Pike. Areas near and north of the Mass Pike should stay dry during the day on Friday.

Low temperatures Thursday night will be between 30 and 35 Degrees. High temperatures Friday will be between 40 and 45 Degrees. Winds on Thursday night will become West at 5 to 10 mph. Winds on Friday will be West to Northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

This Weekend: Drier air on the backside of that frontal system will FINALLY cause the sun to make an appearance throughout this weekend.

Both Saturday and Sunday look sunny to partly sunny with high temperatures both days near 35 Degrees.
