2 min read

Weather analysis as of early this afternoon showed a cold front pushing its way across New York State. This front is expected to push its way through all of Western and Central Mass during late this afternoon and early this evening & will be accompanied by some scattered showers and maybe even a rumble or two of thunder.

The sunshine, warm temperatures and humid conditions will give way to cloudy skies within the next 2-3 hours or so across all of Western and Central Mass.

Scattered showers and maybe a rumble or two of thunder are then expected between about 3 pm and 7 pm across Western Mass and between about 4 pm and 8 pm across Central Mass. These scattered showers will accompany a cold front that'll push through the area during late afternoon and early evening.

Once the front pushes through the entire area by early this evening, expect cooler temperatures and a rapid drop in the dew point temperatures. This means that temperatures will fall into the low 50s by late tonight.

SATURDAY is looking like a really nice day with lots of sunshine expected & high temperatures between 65 and 70 Degrees. Dew point temperatures on Saturday look extremely comfortable with readings in the low to mid 40s expected. Winds on Saturday will be North at around 10 mph.

TURNING TO SUNDAY - It appears that a weak secondary cold front will begin to approach the area during the day. This means that a mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds can be expected throughout the day on Sunday. High temperatures will be around 65 Degrees. Winds will be Southeast at around 10 mph.

That cold front looks to move through the area during late Sunday night and Monday morning. It appears that a few isolated showers will accompany the front when it moves through.

NEXT WEEK - Once the front moves through, it appears that next week looks very nice with plenty of sunshine expected during all of next week. Daytime high temperatures next week appear to start out in the middle 60s on Monday and then fall back into the middle and upper 50s for Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures on Thursday and next Friday are expected to be in the middle 60s. Also, there is the possibility for scattered frost on Tuesday night into Wednesday morning across the entire area.
