Widespread showers along with a few thunderstorms are expected throughout this afternoon. The heavier showers and any thunderstorms will produce locally heavy downpours.
I'm not expecting any sort of strong or severe thunderstorms with the thunderstorms that do occur this afternoon.
I expect additional rainfall amounts of between one half of an inch (0.50") and one inch (1.00") is likely to occur across the region. Locally higher amounts are definitely possible.
Street flooding and areas of urban flooding will be a threat this afternoon, especially in areas that experience heavy downpours. Also, the local rivers and streams are expected to rise, but should remain within their banks.
The shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to come to an end by early this evening with dry weather then expected throughout the overnight hours of tonight.
Temperatures this afternoon will be around 60 Degrees. Low temperatures tonight will be near 50 Degrees.
The next round of showers and possible thunderstorms looks to occur during the mid and late afternoon hours of Wednesday that last into early Wednesday evening. The coverage of these showers and thunderstorms look to be rather scattered. High temperatures Wednesday will be near 70 Degrees.
Thursday may end up dry across the entire area. High temperatures Thursday will be near 70 Degrees.
And, unfortunately, we will not be done with the rain as it appears even more rain can be expected from late Thursday night through all day on Friday.
Additional rainfall amounts from late Thursday night through Friday is likely to average around one inch across the area.
This new round of rain could lead to some of the rivers and streams to go into minor flood stage across the area. This will be something that will need to be watched very closely.
High temperatures Friday will be between 50 and 55 Degrees.
