Widespread Showers & A Few Thunderstorms Are Expected This Afternoon Across Western & Central Mass

It's going to be a wet afternoon across all of Western and Central Mass as a cold front slowly moves through the region.

Widespread showers and some scattered thunderstorms are now pushing into Western Mass. These showers and thunderstorms will likely overspread Central Mass by about early this afternoon.

During This Afternoon, there will be widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms across the entire area. The peak of the activity looks to occur between about 1-2 pm and 5-6 pm across Western Mass and between 3 pm and 7 pm across Central Mass.

Heavy downpours with areas of street, highway and poor drainage flooding will be the main threat with the showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Strong or severe thunderstorms are not expected this afternoon due to a limited amount of unstable air.

One thing that is for sure is that it will continue to be humid this afternoon with temperatures around 70 Degrees.

Showers and thunderstorms will end from west to east across the area by 7-9 pm this evening.

Sunday still looks to be a much less humid day under a mixture of sunshine and clouds. High temperatures will be between 70 and 75 Degrees.
