Weekend Weather Forecast For Western & Central Mass

For This Afternoon: Partly sunny skies are expected throughout this afternoon as an area of high pressure to our south controls the weather. Temperatures this afternoon will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Winds this afternoon will be west at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph. Tonight: That high pressure system will continue to control our weather throughout tonight with partly cloudy skies expected. Low temperatures tonight will be near 55 Degrees. Winds tonight will be west at 7 to 15 mph. Saturday: A weak piece of energy is expected to push across the region during Saturday. It looks like this piece of energy should be weak enough to produce nothing more than a mixture of sunshine and clouds during the day Saturday. High temperatures Saturday will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Winds on Saturday will be west at 5 to 10 mph. Sunday Through Monday: Two areas of low pressure are expected to push through the area – the first on Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening and the second on Monday morning. Sunday is expected to be cloudy and it looks as though a steady rain will occur throughout the afternoon. High temperatures Sunday will be near 70 Degrees. That steady rain will taper off to scattered showers during Sunday evening with the scattered shower activity continuing throughout the rest of Sunday night. Low temperatures Sunday night will be near 60 Degrees. Another round of steady rain looks likely during Monday morning with the rain ending by midday. During Monday afternoon, some increasing sunshine is expected as that second storm system moves away. High temperatures Monday will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Tuesday & Wednesday: High pressure will build over the area throughout Tuesday and Wednesday. This means that both Tuesday and Wednesday will be partly sunny. High temperatures both days will be between 75 and 80 Degrees. Thursday & Next Friday: A frontal system is forecast to push through the area during Thursday night and Friday bringing with it a couple of rounds of showers. Thursday is expected to be partly sunny with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees. Thursday night looks cloudy and there is likely to be some scattered shower activity during the evening as a warm front pushes across the region. Low temperatures Thursday night will be near 60 Degrees. A cold front is likely to push through the area during Friday afternoon and Friday evening. Skies next Friday look cloudy and I think it’s likely that we’ll see scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms during Friday afternoon and Friday evening. High temperatures next Friday will be between 75 and 80 Degrees.
