For Tonight: An area of high pressure over Atlantic Canada is expected to push to the east tonight setting up a southerly wind flow over the region. This high pressure system has been strong enough to cause quite a bit of sunshine to occur across the region today and drying up any rainfall that tried to push northward. For tonight, skies will start out partly cloudy across the entire area with skies becoming cloudy from south to north starting later this evening. By late tonight, skies will be cloudy across the entire area. In addition to this, some scattered showers are expected to push northward into areas near and south of the Mass Pike just before midnight with these scattered showers pushing northward into areas north of the Mass Pike by after midnight tonight. Low temperatures tonight will be between 55 and 60 Degrees. Winds will be East at 5 to 10 mph. Friday: An upper level low pressure system will be positioned to our west during Friday. The position of this weather system is such that it’ll produce a humid southerly wind flow across the region. This means that skies on Friday will feature a mixture of some sunshine and lots of clouds. In addition, some scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected during the afternoon. The main impact from any of the heavier showers or thunderstorms will be locally heavy downpours leading to localized street flooding. It will be humid on Friday with high temperatures near 75 Degrees. In fact, Friday will be the most humid day of this year so far and because of this, it will feel really humid on Friday. Winds will be South at 5 to 10 mph. This Weekend: The main story of the weekend will be one of on and off scattered showers and thunderstorms, along with some very humid conditions. Saturday looks like it’ll feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds with some scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. A strong thunderstorm or two cannot be ruled out and if these occur, the main threat would be very gusty winds. Additionally, heavier showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon will produce locally heavy downpours. High temperatures Saturday will be between 75 and 80 Degrees with humid conditions. Winds will be South at 10 to 20 mph. Sunday also looks like it’ll feature a mixture of sunshine and clouds with some scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Once again, a strong thunderstorm or two is a possibility with the main threat being gusty winds. It will be humid on Sunday with high temperatures near 80 Degrees. Monday Through Thursday Of Next Week: Much of next week looks humid and unsettled as we remain under the control of an upper level low pressure system. Monday and Tuesday both look cloudy and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms. A strong thunderstorm or two is possible on both Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures both days will be near 80 Degrees. Wednesday also looks cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms. It will be another humid day with high temperatures between 75 and 80 Degrees. Turning to next Thursday – More of the same with cloudy skies, humid conditions and the threat for scattered showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be between 75 and 80 Degrees.
